Dr. Lee is a Research Associate at the Center for Values in Medicine, Science, and Technology. Dr. Lee has a Ph.D. in science education, an M.S. in applied cognitive science, M.A.s in science education and in emerging media and communication. She has global experiences of K-12 science education and of teaching undergraduate science.
Her research interests include interdisciplinary approach in STEM education, understanding of nature of science, views on science, technology, and society (STS) in science education, and cognitive process in STEM learning. Dr. Lee recently completed the NSF funded engineering education study, “Engineering Ethics as an Expert-Guided and Socially Situated Activity,” which explored multi-layered ethics understanding of engineering students through cognitive ethnography.
